How to ask us to close your account and erase your personal information, what we are able to delete, and what the law requires us to keep.
Home Account & Data Deletion
This page applies to anyone who has created an account with Crestforge Wealth Private Limited — through this website, through our mobile application, or through the investor portal we operate — and to anyone who has simply sent us their details through a form on this site.
You do not need an account, and you do not need to be logged in, to make a deletion request. Anyone can use the routes below.
There are three routes. All of them reach the same place, so use whichever is easiest.
Please tell us your registered name and mobile number, and your folio number if you have one. We may ask you one or two questions to confirm you are who you say you are — we will not delete an account on an unverified request, because doing so would itself be a security failure.
On a verified request we erase the personal information we hold about you that we are not required to keep. That includes:
Once deleted, this information cannot be recovered and we cannot restore your account.
We are an AMFI registered mutual fund distributor and a reporting entity under Indian anti-money-laundering law. Some records cannot be erased on request, however much we might want to oblige. This is a legal obligation on us, not a choice.
Records retained for these reasons are locked away from ordinary use. They are not used to contact you, not used for marketing, and not used to rebuild a profile of you. They exist only to satisfy a regulator or an investigating authority who asks for them.
This is the part most people are surprised by, so it is worth stating plainly.
Your investments do not sit with us. Your folios are held by the asset management companies and their registrars — CAMS and KFin Technologies — who are the record keepers for your units. Deleting your Crestforge Wealth account removes our access and our copy of your details. It does not close a folio, redeem a holding, or erase anything held by an AMC or a registrar.
If you want your folios themselves closed or your KYC record altered, that request has to go to the AMC or the KYC registration agency directly. Tell us and we will point you to the right desk, but we cannot make that change for you.
We will write to you to confirm when it is done, and to tell you plainly which categories of record we have had to retain and for how long.
You do not have to choose all or nothing. You can ask us to remove your saved goals, clear your risk profile, or take you off every mailing list while keeping your account open. Ask for exactly what you want removed at the same address.
If we decline a request, we will tell you why and which provision we are relying on. If you disagree, our grievance redressal page sets out how to escalate, including to SEBI. Our privacy practices more generally are set out in our privacy policy.
